1. Turn to God Not to Things of This World
When you experience worry and fear, it can be tempting to turn to things of this world to help ease those fears and bring peace and enjoyment. However, you will only ever experience true peace when you turn to God. The world may provide some temporary relief from fear and anxiety, but it won’t last. In John 14:27, Jesus says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. 3. Seek Advice and Encouragement from Wise Counsel
In Proverbs 19:20, Christians are instructed to “Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise.” When things aren’t going great, the world will tell you to be afraid. But wise, Christian counsel will tell you to not be afraid and trust God because He is good. Who are you going to listen to? The world thinks choosing faith over fear is naive, but Christians know the peace and joy that come with doing so. 4. Control Your Thoughts with Prayer and Meditation
